Late summer is one of my favourite times of the year when the heather is in full bloom and covers the moorland. It transform the moorland into a beautiful blanket of colour. This particular shot was taken at sunrise. As the sun was rising it cast a lovely glow on the heather, combined with clouds rolling in which lit up purple it made for a perfect combination of the elements which resulted in this image.
