Holme Fell, Lake District
This was my first visit to Holme fell. I arrived in the dark and when i got out of the car it was pouring with rain and really windy. The forecast said it would clear so i headed off the way i thought it was. I ended up walking through really boggy fields and up the side of the fell. The weather was horrible but i wanted to see the views from the top so pressed on. I got to the highest point i could and had a good look around. I saw this ridge a little further over the fell so headed there. I found this composition with this interesting rock in the foreground. The wind was incredible. I could hardly stand and was clinging onto my tripod. The rain was also driving in from the side so keeping my camera steady and dry was a real challenge. Despite the horrible weather i was really happy with the mood and feel to this image.
